Tuesday Johns we made our cover for the dvd and took them home and had a play on facebook lol
Angies class we took a logo of some sort and made them out the stickers you use to put on cars i made the rolling stones logo
Wednesday we went over our nabs with gavin

Alloa Tower
We started planning our Alloa Tower trip in Johns class using the internet and watching the pervious years work on Alloa Tower, We then had to decided what part of the tower we were to present and film.
We researched that part and planned out a script before to got to go film we had to make a storyboard which we decided we would film from the bottom and work our way up to the roof which was the part i was doing.
We went out to get pictures of Alloa Tower ourselves, we could only get the outside we used these pictures in Angies class using mono printing.
We then got to go and film our documentary then took them back to the class and edited them so we could put them onto a DVD.
We still had to make the CD cover which we made in Brians class using photoshop elements and using one of the pictures we took a couple of weeks earlier.

His work often overturns traditional uses of video by playing with time elements and employing multiple monitors.

Angies class some of us kept going with our Alloa Tower sewing, and the rest updated their sketchbook. I got most of my sewing finished and updated my sketchbook.
Wednesday 19th May - Gavins class jamie done more editing on the Jerry Springer type show , the rest of us got all the comical sounds and themes tunes etc into place and i changed the credits since it were poorly put together.
Friday 21st May - Brians class we printed off our DVD covers and made changes to them.

Angies class we tried a little sewing to get away from mono printing which was a nice change we tried sewing our pictures of Alloa Tower onto a bit a fabric after were finished we either rip the paper off and your design is underneath or just leave the paper and use your picture on the other side not sure what one i will use yet get back to you on that!!

Tuesday John wasn't in so we had Colin Gunning, We started doing research in the prospectus for an article about the course we are doing Access to creative industries, We wrote out a script and took pictures that would demonstrate what we had written in our script! We then went on to read the script into a pod-cast and we will put the pictures and audio together next week.
Wednesday Gavins class we looked at radio stations all over the world The computer i was on wasn't letting me listen to any radio stations even the ones in this area so i just listened to everyone else!!

This week i was off on the Tuesday and Wednesday so i cant tell you much about what we got up to!! On friday in Brians class we kept on with our articles i have changed mine again! I'm ow doing a problem page where the class are going to give me questions to answer although none of them have so far but i have came up with a couple of questions on my own so far.
Angie class we carried on with our portraits. I Projected my polly pocket picture and drew it onto an A1 size bit of cardboard.

This week we started to get into our new project which the whole class is working together as a group.
Tuesday in Johns class we finished up some paper work and things we missed with our blogs (BORING!!) but at least its finished with. Angies class we carried on with our Andy Warhol Portraits, The group that was there on friday afternoon went on to the next step which was taking a polly pocket placing it on top of the photograph and tracing my face i think it turned out pretty well. We also started to colour in some of our copies of our face in the Andy Warhol style.
Friday Brians class we appointed Kayleigh as our leader in this project and started our research for our own personal articles, Im still not 100% sure what i will do mines on but im thinking something to do with the Media Industry!!

History Of Animation
Animation is a quick display of images in order to make an illusion of the pictures moving. There has been a number of different ways to make this happen for example. . .
Zoetrope was originally produced in 180 AD in China by a man named Ting Haun, but in 1834 William George Horner produced an up to date Zoetrope. The modern Zoetrope is a cylinder with slits around the sides. Around the inside edge of the cylinder there are pictures on the opposite side of the slits, so as the cylinder is spun you look through the slits and it give the illusion that the pictures are moving.
Flip book was first introduced in 1868 by a man named John Barns Linnet. The Flip book is a number of pictures flipped very fast to create the illusion effect.
In 1894 the Mutoscope was introduced it is basically the same effect except that the flip book is in a box and you use a handle to flip the pages.
Stop Motion is one of the techniques used today; Stop motion is used for objects not people. The object will be photograph then moved just slightly and photograph again and so on so that when all the photos have been put together and played the object will look as if it’s moving by itself.

We didn't come back from our christmas holidays till the thursday 7th January so we missed one day this week!
We pick up were we left off with our animations.
My group lost the days work of filming we done on the last day before christmas so that sort of set us back but we finished filming on Friday :) we also got storyborads and the music for the animation up to date! We still have to edit and put the animation together next week so fingers crossed we have it done in time!!
